SanMar, a supplier of wholesale accessories and apparel, has announced its 2024 Fall New Arrivals featuring the company’s largest product launch with more than 120 styles across 17 brands, including 27 limited edition styles. The new arrivals include innovation in sustainable styles, sports uniforms, more than 50 outerwear and fleece additions, and new products from Nike, Carhartt, The North Face, Eddie Bauer, and more.
SanMar’s C-Free collection now features more than 70 carbon-neutral styles. “SanMar has made it a priority to grow our sustainable C-Free collection to include multiple layering options that best accommodate teams and protect them from the elements throughout the year,” says Shel Renning, VP of Merchandising at SanMar.
The Port & Company Core Blend Recycled Tee (PC01) is another addition to SanMar’s sustainable products. This fabrication is circularity-minded, made from 50-percent ring-spun cotton scrap and cuttings from Port & Company cotton shirts and 50-percent recycled polyester from reclaimed polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a material often used to create single-use plastic bottles, according to the company.
“The PC01 will be our most value-oriented sustainable T-shirt,” says Patrick Noonan, CPO at SanMar. “We make the PC01 by using our own factories’ scraps, breaking them down into fibers, spinning them back into yarn and then making a new shirt with that recycled yarn. We know there’s a market for less expensive shirts that still prioritize sustainability, and we wanted to provide a quality choice for those customers.”
Two new limited-edition brands have been added: Outerwear brand Outdoor Research, known for high-quality, technical garments made with bluesign-approved materials, emphasizing responsible sourcing, reduced material impact, and a lower carbon footprint, and clothing company tentree, which has an assortment of organic cotton and hemp fabrications and an environmental mission to plant 10 trees for every unit sold.
“At a time when social and environmental issues are top of mind for many consumers, it’s exciting to see SanMar meet the moment with new styles and brands to help round out our assortment,” says Emily Gigot, senior manager of Sustainability at SanMar. “With the expansion of our C-Free collection and partnerships with brands like Outdoor Research and tentree, we are not only providing stylish, functional apparel, but also helping complete the uniform for any business looking to walk the talk with their sustainability commitments.”
SanMar also announced the expansion of its Sport-Tek collection with 17 styles and new stock uniform options. “We’re making significant investments in expanding our sport styles and on-field uniforms, and we have a trendsetting duo in our Sport-Tek PosiCharge Competitor and Price Point Mesh uniforms,” says Renning. “We enhanced our existing program with improvements in fit, fabrication, and functionality, resulting in a more versatile product that helps teams stay active.”
The supplier has also launched SanMar’s Charity Tech Packs, which offer a durable backpack made of recycled materials that support the work of the American Cancer Society and the American Red Cross by donating $5 per backpack sold. Each bag features a unique internal label that identifies the charity, highlights its mission, with a QR code to encourage end-users to contribute to these important causes through amplified donation, according to a release.
