Allmade Apparel is sharing a new video highlighting its dedication to ethical production and environmental responsibility in honor of National Recycling Day, November 15, 2024. The eco-conscious apparel brand uses organic cotton and recycled materials at factories that run on renewable energy. Allmade aims to reduce the fashion industry’s environmental impact while creating positive social change.
According to a release from the company, in the US, it’s estimated that 60 million plastic water bottles are thrown away each day, which adds up to 22 billion bottles every year. Of these, about 70 to 80 percent end up in landfills or as litter, meaning only a tiny portion is actually recycled. Since Allmade’s launch in 2016, they have recycled approximately 51 million water bottles into their fabric, and recycled 39,317 pounds of cotton scraps into their Recycled Blend Fabric.
