American Print Consultants (APC) has launched the Polyprint Filmjet, a 24-inch wide direct-to-film (DTF) printing system designed for high-volume production environments. The Filmjet combines printing, powder application, and curing in a single, enclosed system.
The printer operates at speeds of 172 to 194 sq. ft./hr and includes automation features to reduce operator intervention and support continuous production. A Smart System Control manages the entire process, while constant film tension helps ensure evenly wound output rolls. The Multi-Zone Smart Curing system includes four independently controlled IR heating zones for flexible temperature profiles during powder curing.
Key specifications and features include:
- 4 staggered Epson i3200 printheads
- Bulk ink system with white ink recirculation
- Self-cleaning functions
- Powder recycling system with large-capacity hopper
- Air knife for powder removal
The Filmjet is intended for operations looking to consolidate multiple DTF workflows into a single unit. A demo unit is available at APC’s Chambersburg, PA facility. Units are in stock for immediate delivery and installation.
