Match color using a physical printed sample

A screen preview cannot show exactly how a transfer will look after printing and pressing. A swatch sheet puts nearby color variations in one grid so you can compare the actual result with your target. Keep the printer, RIP settings, film and garment consistent while comparing samples.

How to use it

  1. Choose a starting color and generate a grid of nearby variations.
  2. Export and print the sheet using the same workflow as the final job.
  3. Press a sample, compare it under consistent lighting, and record the selected swatch.

A practical example

If a customer supplies a physical shirt or color sample, compare the pressed swatches beside it. A matching screen hex value is a starting point, not a guarantee of a matching print.

Before you print

  • Change one production variable at a time.
  • Keep a labeled sample with its RIP settings for repeat orders.
  • Screen brightness and surrounding light can change how a color appears.
