Turn suitable raster artwork into scalable paths
Vector artwork describes shapes with paths instead of a fixed pixel grid. It is most useful for logos, lettering and flat illustrations. A detailed photograph may produce many paths without becoming easier to edit, so choose the conversion based on the kind of image you have.
How to use it
- Upload a clear source with enough detail to distinguish adjacent shapes.
- Run the conversion and download the completed vector file.
- Open the result in a compatible design application and inspect text, holes, outlines and colors.
A practical example
For a two-color logo, compare the inside of each letter and the spaces between shapes. A conversion can be visually close at thumbnail size while still joining shapes that should remain separate.
Before you print
- Use original brand vector files when they are available.
- Confirm that intentional background shapes have been retained or removed as needed.
- Inspect fine paths at the final print size and export in a format accepted by your RIP.
